HANSEN MOTORSPORTS GETS TWO SECOND PLACE FINISHES IN VERNAL!

MYTON, UT. (May 11 & 12, 2012)- Hansen Motorsports drivers Chase & Dustin Hansen gets two second place finishes at the Diamond Mountain Speedway in Vernal, Utah this past weekend.

On Friday, Chase started the night off by finishing second in his heat after starting fifth. For the feature he started in the fifth position and would work his way up to finish in second.

Dustin's night did not start off well as he broke while wheel packing so he was unable to start the heat race. But, he was able to start the feature. He started in the eleventh spot and work his way up sixth twice.

The track was a little rough the first night with one fast lane but the track personnel made things better for Saturday.

On Saturday, Dustin started the night off by finishing second in his heat after he had a fierce battle with Zane DeVilbiss for the win. They swapped the lead multiple times. He then started the feature in the fifth spot. Hansen was able to get second when the checkered flag flew.

Chase started his night off by finishing second in his heat to Wyatt Howard. Hansen then would line up in the eighth spot for the feature. He would then make it up to finish in fourth after making a few mistakes on the track.

Next stop for the team will be at the Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming for the season opener of the EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour on May 18th & 19th

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. CHASE HANSEN WINS IN PRICE, DUSTIN HANSEN TAKES THIRD

MYTON, UT. (April 27 & 28, 2012)- Hansen Motorsports drivers Chase & Dustin Hansen headed to the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah for their season opener and the first race of the season for Hansen Motorsports.

The team had troubles leaving on Friday because of the parts the team was waiting for to race that night did not show up until 5:30 pm and the races started at 7:00 pm.

The team showed up when the IMCA Modified feature was lined up. The Hansen's tagged the back of the feature. Chase started 22nd and Dustin started 21st. The track was fast. Had a lot of traction.

Chase rallied to a 5th place finish and Dustin took 9th with no brakes and a broken seat mount. The next night, both of them won their heat races. For the main event, Chase started 8th and Dustin started in the 4th spot.

Dustin took the lead early and led a few laps until he got passed for the lead. Dustin fell back to as far as 5th but would finish in 3rd. A car length from 2nd.

Chase made his way up to 2nd early and passed for the lead on lap 16 and never looked back as he would go on to win in his second start of the season and his first win at the speed-plant since July of 2007.

Next stop for the team will be at the Diamond Mountain Speedway in Vernal, Utah on May 11th and 12th
